Curriculum Vitae
Prior to joining Cardiff Law School as a lecturer in 2003, Annette Morris qualified as a barrister and worked as a policy researcher for the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers. Her research, which focuses on various aspects of civil justice, draws on the practical experience she has gained to date. Her main work, published in the Modern Law Review, examined the extent to which concerns of a ‘compensation culture’ have been justified in England and Wales. She teaches Tort, Legal Ethics and Commercial Legal Practice. She is a member of the Civil Justice Council’s Personal Injury Committee; a member of the Journal of Law and Society’s editorial board; assistant editor of the Journal of Professional Negligence and the Convenor of the Society of Legal Scholars’ Tort subject section.
